After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different… And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.
Recommend: People who like books about aliens and romance. Good for book-slumps and those who want a light read!
This book surprised me!
The last two books were light, fun reads, but a lot of the plot consisted of unnecessary angst and making out. Don’t get me wrong, this edition did have quite a bit of angst and making-out, but it was (mostly) relevant!
And who doesn’t love relevant angst and making-outamiright?!
The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius as war looms on the horizon. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those who don’t.
With her heart sworn to the warrior-prince by her side, and her fealty pledged to the people she is determined to save, Aelin will delve into the depths of her power to protect those she loves. But as monsters emerge from the horrors of the past, and dark forces become poised to claim her world, the only chance for salvation will lie in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.
In this breathtaking fifth installment of the New York Timesbestselling Throne of Glass series, Aelin will have to choose what—and who—to sacrifice if she’s to keep the world of Erilea from breaking apart.
Veronica doesn’t think she’s going crazy. But why can’t anyone else see the mysterious blond boy who keeps popping up wherever she goes? When her best friend, Mackenna, invites her to spend the summer in Scotland, Veronica jumps at the opportunity to leave her complicated life behind for a few months.
But the Scottish countryside holds other plans.
Not only has the imaginary kilted boy followed her to Alloway, she and Mackenna uncover a strange set of rings and a very unnerving letter from Mackenna’s great aunt—and when the girls test the instructions Aunt Gracie left behind, they find themselves transported to a land that defies explanation. Doon seems like a real-life fairy tale, complete with one prince who has eyes for Mackenna and another who looks suspiciously like the boy from Veronica’s daydreams. But Doon has a dark underbelly as well. The two girls could have everything they’ve longed for…or they could end up breaking an enchantment and find themselves trapped in a world that has become a nightmare.
I’ve created a new group on goodreads! Don’t ask why I called it Wordish Whales because I have no answer except for that whales are pretty chill? And it’s gonna be a pretty chill group?
Anyway, it’d be awesome if you’d like to join and feel free to send a request here!
I’m planning on doing a monthly book reading thing and having a discussion at the end of the month on my blog! I dunno how we will do the discussion (maybe Google Hangouts like they do on book tube?), but that’s only if everyone’s comfortable with it or there are a few volunteers to discuss the book so the rest can watch live or later!
It’s going to be super fun, but only if people join so swim your way over to the request sender (i’m gonna have a great time with these whale puns omg)!
(Please excuse the many grammatical errors in this post as I wrote it in under 5 minutes! It will probably be deleted later, so don’t worry!)
Nothing living is safe. Nothing dead is to be trusted.
For years, Gansey has been on a quest to find a lost king. One by one, he’s drawn others into this quest: Ronan, who steals from dreams; Adam, whose life is no longer his own; Noah, whose life is no longer a lie; and Blue, who loves Gansey… and is certain she is destined to kill him.
Now the endgame has begun. Dreams and nightmares are converging. Love and loss are inseparable. And the quest refuses to be pinned to a path.
Aight, so remember how like three months ago I was all like, “Yeah, in August imma be in Saudi Arabia finally!”? Well that obviously didn’t happen as I am still in the USA.
I am confident that this time next month, we will be in Saudi Arabia (lol I probably just jinxed myself, but come on!!!). Anyway, I just wanted to give a lil’ preface before you think that every time I say I’m leaving i’m just lying (which, I guess technically I am. Oops.).
GuYs!!!! I finally visited Hogwarts and it made me so happy!!!!!!!
I was legit so emotional the entire trip because everywhere you looked there was something from the HP series! It was just so so fun (even though it rained a whole lot due to a tropical storm, BUT on the bright side the storm was called Hermione so i’m cool with it).
Anyway, in this post I’m going to share some pictures, stories, and lil’ tid-bits I learned from my trip! Hope you enjoy!
I’ve had a reading slump at the actual worst time. I’m like fifty pages away from finishing three different books and I just can’t seem to work up the motivation to do it (and they’re really good books too UGH).
Therefore, this post will not be a review like I had previously hoped.
I wasn’t exactly tagged to do The Literary Dinner Party Tag, but it looked so cute and fun that I just couldn’t resist! This tag was created by book tuber NEHOMAS2 (you can watch her video by clicking the link!).
There’s an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he’s hot… until he opens his mouth. He’s infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he marks me. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.
Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
Given that many of you have other obligations besides reading (if you don’t, how dare you I’m jealous) things can become a little bit crazy to say the least. You’ve got school and/or your job, extra-curricular activities, personal things going on… If you think about it, it’s a wonder that we even have time to breathe, let alone read a full length novel!
In other words:
your plate is full!
So how how how do we keep reading during times like these? HA, good question, because I too still struggle with this, BUT I have figured out a few ways to make things a little easier on all of us 🙂
